Movie
My sister, parents and I decided to have mix up Tuesday and go to the $5.00 movie (with free popcorn!) We went to see the Lone Soldier. Let's just say before I started dating Brandon war movies were very... BORING! This one is different because it was based off a true story. Now, war movies hit a little closer to the heart. I am lucky that I have never had to deal with Brandon going to war while we have been together. The movie is a simple reminder that we need to be thankful for our soldiers everyday! It is a movie I would recommend to see but be prepared to cover your eyes during some scenes. At the end of the movie you will need some a lot of tissues for your tears.

Favorite Things Party
It was time to get the girls together again! This time I decided to switch things up and invite my girl friends from different groups! I figured why not let everyone have a fun Friday night together. I added a little spunk to the night by having a "Favorite Things" party!
I hosted the party at Stories Coffee House. It was relaxing not having to put the house together and they had live music that night.
The girls brought four of the same item (their favorite thing) around $6 dollars each. Each girl put their favorite thing on the table and wrote their name on four pink pieces of paper and put them in the bowl.
Some of the Favorite Things:
Water bottles
gum
EOS balm
Eye Liner
Wine
Body Works
Popcorn
Self tanner
Each girl got a bag to take home their new favorite gift. On the back of the tags was a number and a question. We went into order on introducing ourself, tell about our favorite thing, where we got it and answered the question on the back of the tag. This was a fun way to break the ice and pass out the gifts. Then we picked four names out of the bowl and those girls got our favorite items.
If I host this party again I would figure out a different way to pass out the gifts.

Family
Sitting around in the living room talking with my
parents and sister made me realize that we only have a couple more months of
having this opportunity. At the end of the school year both my sister and I
will be moving to the opposite ends of the country. It is hard to take in the
fact that we wont be able to go to my parents house for dinners, birthdays or
just to watch T.V. I guess it is time to appreciate the moments we have
together. We will always be a phone call or facetime away from each other but
it wont be the same without the presents of each other.
What special things do you like to do with your
family?

Memory Book
I started a journal of our relationship when Brandon and I started dating. Every month I write a letter to Brandon going over some of the special events that took place during that month. I also add pictures but I don't do anything fancy to them. This is something I want to keep up throughout our life together. I think it will be special for our kids and grand kids to read.
